PEASOUP FOR BREAKFAST
Yesterday, I made a nice big pot of peasoup for supper. All day long I enjoyed the nice smell filling the house. I made a big pot, of course, because we have a long winter ahead of us, with many cold nights on which to enjoy such a warming meal. So after feasting on it last night around the table, I was happy to still have a four litre ice cream pail full for another time. I set the pail outside my back door to cool the contents before setting it in the freezer. Well guess who forgot to take the pail inside last night? And guess who found the pail this morning? If you guessed yours truly for the first question and Samantha, our dog, for the second, you are correct. She ate all of it!!! Then she hid the pail underneath the lilac bushes and filled it with leaves. I found it after being baffled as to its whereabouts for several minutes. Now, the poor doggie, has to go the bathroom very often. I have a sore stomach just thinking about eating that much peasoup for breakfast. Or any peasoup at all for breakfast.
